Measuring 120 cm from head to tail, the Great Hornbill is the most majestic bird of Thailand.
Why Kaeng Krachan?
Our Kaeng Krachan national park tours are a great way to explore the outdoors. Kaeng Krachan is the largest national park in Thailand, and is a home for many rare species like e.g. elephants, tapir, and leopards, but only the lucky few will be rewarded. There is however a reasonable chance to encounter animals like langurs, gibbons, macaques, birds and reptiles during our wildlife safaris.
What we do on our Wildlife Safaris?
On our 2-day Wildlife Safaris in Kaeng Krachan we'll spend two full days in the jungle including camping overnight. We combine safari drives with jungle hiking, all with focus on wildlife. The night in the park, we might explore the forest edge around camp ground in the dark with those who dare...
By the way, our Wildlife Safaris in Kui Buri national park make a great addition to our Kaeng Krachan tours. Especially if you love to see elephants, you won't regret it!
Kaeng Krachan Wildlife Safari | ITINERARY
Often enough, our itineraries get turned upside down; it is impossible to plan in nature, but here follows an example itinerary.
Day 1 (08:00AM or later; to ±19:00PM or later)
The first morning we start with driving into the park while keeping an eye out for anything that moves. Next we continue on foot for short jungle hike. There is a restaurant at the camp ground where we will have lunch before setting up camp, and the late afternoon we spend safari driving looking for wildlife. When we get back at the camp we have dinner and if you are interested we can explore the camp's surroundings in the dark to look for nocturnal creatures. Don't forget your torch/ flash light!
Day 2 (06:00AM to ±17:00PM)
After an early breakfast we drive to one of the park's trails. We explore the jungle on foot and keep our eyes and ears open in hope to spot the forest inhabitants. After lunch at the camp, we will pack the tents and spend the afternoon game driving to add more animal species to the list before leaving the park. We can drop you at the minivanstop in Kaeng Krachan town to catch the last minivan (of 17:00PM) to Bangkok.

Despite the higher visitor number and more developed infrastructure, Khao Yai national park is Thailand's best park for wildlife watching. And since we have a (small) team of guides in Khao Yai, we are still able to organize a wildlife tour for you in Khao Yai instead.
