Why Kaeng Krachan?

Our Kaeng Krachan national park tours are a great way to explore the outdoors. Kaeng Krachan is the largest national park in Thailand, and is a home to many rare species like e.g. Indochinese Leopard, Asian Elephant, and even Asian Tapir, but only the lucky few will be rewarded. There is however a reasonable chance to encounter animals like langurs, gibbons, macaques, birds and reptiles during our wildlife safaris. And even just the butterfly diversity is astonishing and worth the visit.

What we do on our Wildlife Safaris?

On our 2-day Wildlife Safaris in Kaeng Krachan we'll spend two full days in the jungle and we camp overnight. We combine safari drives with jungle hiking, all with focus on wildlife. The night in the park, we explore the forest edge around camp ground in the dark so don't forget your flashlight.

By the way, our Wildlife Safaris in Kui Buri national park make a great addition to our Kaeng Krachan tours. Especially if you love to see elephants, you won't regret it!

Kaeng Krachan Wildlife Safari  |  ITINERARY

Often enough, our itineraries get turned upside down; it is impossible to plan in nature, but here follows an example itinerary.

Day 1 (08:00AM; to ±21:00PM)

The first morning we start with driving into the park while searching for any animals along the road. Next we continue on a trail to explore the jungle on foot. There is a restaurant at the camp ground where we will have lunch before setting up camp, and the late afternoon we spend safari driving looking for wildlife. When we get back at the camp we have dinner and if you are interested we can explore the camp's surroundings in the dark to look for nocturnal creatures. Don't forget your torch/ flash light!

Day 2 (06:00AM to ±17:00PM)

After an early breakfast we will do another hike. We explore the jungle on foot and keep our eyes and ears open in hope to spot the forest inhabitants. After lunch at the camp, we will pack the tents and spend the afternoon game driving to hopefully add more animal species to the list before leaving the park.

Kaeng Krachan national park - Where & When?

Kaeng Krachan national park lies at about 3 hours from Bangkok. And 1:30 hrs from Hua Hin. Our Wildlife Tours start from Kaeng Krachan town, which you can reach by public shuttle minivans from Bangkok, though there are very few direct vans, and it's recommended to travel early on the day to avoid getting stuck half way. It can be a challenge at times. If you wish to avoid this hassle, then it's best to book a taxi. We can offer private transfers from Bangkok or elsewhere.

Kaeng Krachan national park closes in the months August - October, so our tours are only on offer outside these months.

Our rates

These 2-day safaris are private tours and all-inclusive. We camp inside the park and provide all camping gear.
