Khao Yai Jungle Tour | ITINERARY
Often enough, our itineraries get turned upside down; it is impossible to plan in nature, but here follows an example itinerary.
Day 1 (15:30PM to ±19:00PM)
We start our Jungle Tour with a refreshing swim in a clear spring, and witness an amazing event at sunset; the bats migration. A LOT of bats! Both the cave and the spring are not within the national park's boundaries.
Day 2 (08:00AM to ±18:00PM)
This morning, we'll explore the park by car to look for gibbons, hornbills & other wildlife and go on foot into the jungle, afterwards. After lunch we'll visit Haew Suwat waterfall, known from the movie 'The Beach'. And possibly a lookout with a wide vista over a vast forested area. The last hour(s) before darkness falls, we'll end the tour with a drive in search for elephants. You'll be returned to Pak Chong (or your hotel) in the early evening.
Spending the night in the park is available on our private jungle tours, but lodging is not included in the price.
Khao Yai Jungle Tour - Where & When?
Khao Yai national park lies just 2.5 - 3 hours from Bangkok. Our Jungle Tours start from Pak Chong, easy to reach by bus or train, but private transfers from Bangkok or elsewhere are on offer, as well.
The park is accessible througout the year, and our tours can take off every day of the year. Every season has its own advantages. November to February is generally dry and cool (bring a sweater!), but personally we love the wet season from June to October. You will get wet, but the waterfalls are more impressive, the forests are lush and green, and warmth- and moist-loving animals are seen more often.
